Jennifer Santolucito, known by the performance moniker "The Tattooed Songbird" is a singer, songwriter, and long-time master of ceremonies in the motorcycle and chopper community. Jennifer entered the custom bike world in 2003 by working as a model and brand ambassador alongside high profile custom choppers from legendary shops like Choppers Inc, West Coast Choppers, and Central Coast Cycles. Her hosting breakthrough came when Billy Lane of Choppers Inc. handed her a microphone and asked her to emcee the Blood, Sweat, and Gears Tour. This high-energy event featured live motorcycle fabrication by industry icons Billy Lane, Mondo Porras, Aaron Greene, Paul Cox, and Kendall Johnson. This tour ignited her career as a fixture host for Bike Shows.
Living Life on Stage
The Tattooed Songbird began her music journey singing and performing at church and school events in her adolescence. In her late teens and early 20's Jennifer was struck with stage fright and was no longer able to sing in public. Forcing herself on stage, working as an emcee, helped her to navigate her fear and overcome this burden. She would use stage time at events in between bands to strum her guitar and sing a song or two. After a while the bands would invite her to join in with them. Jennifer contributes her ability to share her songs due to the love and support she has received from the motorcycle world. Her first band experience was a Southern California hard rock/metal band. Jennifer hired elite Hollywood top vocal coach Kira Fontana to help her gain control, technique, and confidence.
Memphis Blues Society
In 2014 Jennifer and her family relocated to Memphis, TN. Jennifer met Bluesman Patrich Platt while searching for a music project. Pat invited her to a local blues jam hosted by the Memphis Blues Society. That fateful night introduced her to Beale St Brass Note recipient Brad Webb and the local blues community. Jennifer spent the next few years honing her skills with the Memphis Blues Society performing frequently at the Stage Stop and Rum Boogie. This ultimately laid the groundwork for Jennifer and Brad's lifelong friendship and collaborative music career. Jennifer regularly describes Brad as her musical mentor. Jennifer is a proud member of the Memphis Blues Society.
Her Sound
Jennifer is influenced by rock music of the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA. She has been infused with the blues of Memphis, TN. Her sound is unique and precise. She has clear vocals with a wide range and is a powerhouse. The music is a soulful blend of rock and blues. The sound resonates and will leave you wanting more.
Collaboration with Brad Webb
Jennifer Santolucito and Brad Webb released their first studio album titled Tattooed Songbird in 2018. The debut album functioned primarily as Jennifer's personal introduction to the Memphis roots - blues scene after leaving Southern California. While Brad co-produced and mentored her, the album was heavily focused on establishing her solo identity.
Jennifer's sophomore album titled Free Spirit dropped the solo-act framing in favor of a true partnership with Brad. Built on more than a decade of shared history, trust, and mutual loss this album runs deep. The songwriting on Free Spirit is extremely personal, thematic, and unified. With Jennifer back in Southern California this bi-coastal arrangement evolved from a mentor-student dynamic into a fluid, highly efficient writing engine. Jennifer's evocative lyrics and melodies along with Webb's mastery handling of guitars and bass deliver a soulful blend of rock and blues that deliver.
